Claire J. Cardinal, 65, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with family by her side. Born in Woonsocket, RI on April 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Gerard E. and Noella O. (Turcotte) Cardinal. She was the loving sister of Hubert J. Cardinal and his wife, Therese of Blackstone, MA, and Diane L. Perron and her late husband, Thomas of Bellingham, MA, and leaves her cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A life long resident of Blackstone, Claire was a graduate of Blackstone High School Class of 1967 and Quinsigamond Community College. For many years, Claire was the Parish Administrative Assistant of Saint Theresa Parish and was a great support to the parish and provided valuable service. Previously, she had worked for Mailloux Furniture Store in Woonsocket. Claire was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed. Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 31st with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
