->BELFAST and FRANKFORT - Claire A. Parker, 80, passed away peacefully Aug. 9, 2012, at a Belfast health care facility. Claire was born May 22, 1932, in Frankfort, to Perley F. and Lillian M. (Averill) Parker.Claire attended grade school in Frankfort and was a graduate of Winterport High School. She then worked for many years at Woolworth Co. and Kmart as a bookkeeper. She was a faithful member of Frankfort Congregational Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She was a loving and generous aunt who enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews, and all of their children.Claire is survived by her sister, Phyllis P. Gray and husband, Arnold, of Frankfort; four nieces, Kathleen Parker-Hopkins of Port Richey, Fla., Dianna Gray Soo of Bangor, Colleen Kreps and husband, Jon, of Appleton, and Valerie Grove and husband, Brian, of Frankfort; one nephew, Jeffrey Parker of Port Richey, Fla.; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Claire was predeceased by her parents; brother, Bernard W. Parker Sr.; one sister in infancy, Ina Claire Parker; and two nephews, Bernard W. Parker Jr. and Dennis E. Parker. The family thanks Dr. Carol Kuhn, the staff of Harbor Hill, and Waldo County Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.Family and friends are invited to visit 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Frankfort Congregational Church, Main Street, Frankfort, with Pastor Judy Ahles officiating.
