DAVIS, Christopher Paul David 32, so full of life, love, kindness, music and humour, died tragically on Sept. 28, 2008, while riding his bicycle in Austin, Tx. Born in Dallas, Christopher was raised and educated in the U.S. and Canada. He graduated from Brookfield H.S. (Ottawa 1995), where he was captain of his rugby and fooball teams. He played several seasons for the Ottawa Beavers Rugby team. In 1999 Christopher graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) with an English major and a passion for the Longhorns. He was a researcher for Indian and Northern Affairs (Ottawa) until his return to Austin, where he was a manager at Trudy's Restaurant. Christopher was lead-singer and guitar player in the Austin Band "We Dream in Daylight", songwriter and composer, writer and voracious reader, seeker, finder, sharer of knowledge. He is predeceased by his aunt Libby Davis Boone and three grandparents: Harvey Leo Davis, Elaine (nee Vickery) Fernandez-Davila, and Anibal Fernandez-Davila. Christopher is survived by his mother Anne Davis; father Harvey Lee Davis (Gayle Hudgens); brother Robert Michael Alan Davis; step-siblings Amy (Robert) Logan and Hal (Carol) Watson, grandmother Betty X. Davis; uncles and aunts Pablo (Marcela) Fernandez-Davila, David (Joanne) Fernandez-Davila; Nancy (Fernando) Labastida, Virginia Palmer, Mark (Lynn) Davis, Charlotte Seifert, Clayton (Geralyn) Davis and Talbot (Julie) Davis; many cousins and friends. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Riverside United Church, 3191 Riverside Drive in Ottawa; interment at Capital Memorial Gardens, 3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Nepean.
