Ms. Christine Smith October 10, 1960 - October 18, 2008 - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Christine. She was born October 10, 1960 in Ocean Falls, B.C. and passed away Saturday October 18, 2008 at Vancouver General Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving companion David Johns, daughters Erika and Maya Mitsuhashi, former husband Ken Mitsuhashi, parents Barbara and Ray Smith, brother Glen Smith and sister-in-law Angela. Christine was passionate about travel, new languages and cultures, a motivator to her ESL students at UBC, and a gem to her family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond at 1:30 Saturday November 1, 2008. Donations may be made in Christine's name to the Canadian Cancer Society. Christine - you leave a big hole in the Mitsuhashi, Smith, and Johns families, as well as everyone that knew you.
