Christine Miller, born in 1964, spouse of James Miller, daughter of Lawrence and Maryann, died on December 19, 2012 at 48 years old.
MILLER Christine, age 48, of Garfield, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Born in Hoboken, NJ to Lawrence and Maryann Stevens (nee Derasmo), Christine graduated from Sparta High School and The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. With a flair for fashion, Christine's 20 year retail and merchandising career spanned the tri-state area where she managed stores selling women's designer clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Most recently, she worked as a teacher's aide for the Garfield Board of Education Preschool in Garfield, NJ. After a fearless bout with metastatic breast cancer, Christine is survived by her husband, James of 18 years; her precious 11-year-old son, Jack; her stepsons, Joshua and Matthew; her parents, Lawrence and Maryann; her mother-in-law, Florence Miller; her sisters: Tricia and her husband Mark, and Jennifer and her husband Brian; her sister-in-law Deborah and her husband Jay. She is predeceased by her father-in-law David Miller in 2012. Christine was a loving and devoted aunt to Alexandra, Robert, Kenneth, Gabrielle, Daniel, Isabella and Mia. She will be remembered fondly by friends, relatives, business associates, and the townspeople of Garfield who supported her faithfully throughout her illness. Visiting Friday 2-8 PM at the Aloia Funeral Home with a 7:30 pm chapel service. Private Creamtion.
