Obituary of Christine-A. Miller

Miller, Christine A., 57, of Deerfield Beach, FL, passed away on July 11, 2008 at Hospice-by-the-Sea, Boca Raton, FL. Born June 17, 1951 to John and Carolyn Miller of Racine, WI, Christine graduated from Wm. Horlick High School in Racine, WI and received her degree in business from MATC, Milwaukee, WI. Christine was an adventurer at heart. She loved to travel, visit new places and even tried Sky-Diving at the young age of 54. Her passion for computers led her to work for newspapers in Illinois, Minnesota, South Carolina and the Sun-Sentinel in Florida. She was currently working for First America Core Logic in Sunrise, FL. Christine was an avid reader, a student of religious studies, and a lover of dogs, all sizes and breeds. She always carried treats in her pocket for the dogs in her neighborhood. Always sporting a terrific tan, she spent as much time as possible at the beach or poolside, enjoying the Florida sunshine. An avowed member of the Order of the Daughters of The King, Christine was an active member of Saint Nicholas Episcopal Church where she served on the Vestry, as a Chalice Bearer and Lecturer, on the Nehemiah Team, and participated in many ministries and activities including two mission trips to Mississippi for Hurricane Katrina relief. Christine's memory will be cherished by her sister, Sue Ellen Hahn; brother, John William Miller; niece, Kara Miller; and nephew, Jacob Miller; all of Racine, WI; family and friends, and her sisters in the Order of the Daughters of the King. As was her desire, her cremains will be placed at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Columbia, South Carolina. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, 1111 East Sample Road, Pompano Beach, FL, (954-942-5887) on Saturday, July 26, at 11:00 AM, The Rev. Timothy B. Thomas, Rector, presiding. Please visit www.legacy.com to sign Christine's Memorial Book.
