SMITH, Christa M., 82, of Lake Placid, died Thurs-day morning, August 15, 2013 at Coral Reef Nursing and Rehab Center, Miami, FL. A native of Berlin, Germany she moved to the US in 1954 and to Florida in 1959. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith, last year. She is survived by her son, Karl Buettner, Miami, FL; a granddaughter, and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid, FL with Rev. Jon Beck, officiating. Arrangements with Fountain Funeral Home.
