Chester "Chet" Smith, 52, died at his residence in Ludowici on Monday, March 11, 2013.A native of Sanford, Maine, he had lived in Ludowici for more than 30 years. He was a construction worker.Chet is survived by mother, Janice Smith of Ludowici; daughter, Chelsea Smith of Reidsville; two brothers, Wallace and Allen Smith of Ludowici; and one sister, Tammy Tootle, also of Ludowici.His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
