CHESTER "SCOTT" SMITH1967-2008Scott Smith was born June 16th, 1967 in Akron, Ohio. He passed from this life on May 9, 2008 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Scott was preceded in death by his beloved mother Sue Ashcraft Smith.Scott is survived by his wife of 9 years (partner for 18), Joanne Smith and their children, Anthony Smith, Farin Roberts, Amy Roberts (Marshall Jenkins), Jason Dillie (Rebecca); his granddaughters, Alexa Cross (the apple of his eye) & Sera Dillie (who he will never get to spoil); his father, Chet Smith; sisters, Tracy Smith (niece & nephew, Gabby & Gage) and Jenny Harrison (nieces, Kayla & Kristen); aunt, Denese Taylor (Ron & Rachel). Scott was blessed to have in life very good friends, especially, Gregg Roughton and Scott Stewart, these were his "brothers". He was a member of Ensley Church of the Nazarene and had his life in the hands of the Lord from an early age. He was an avid outdoorsman and shared that love with his son & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Gregg Roughton, Scott Stewart, Ron Taylor, Bill Tracy, Rusty LaCoste and Don Inge.Friends & family will be welcomed for visitation at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME NORTH, 1000 Hwy 29, Cantonment on Tuesday, May 13th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There will be a memorial service immediately following.Our family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the staff of both Sacred Heart & West Florida Hospitals as well as all of our friends & co-workers.
