Funeral service for Chester E. Smith, 81, will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Paul Vick officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Mr. Smith died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth H. Smith and his parents, Clavis and Elsie Clyde Smith. He retired from the Talladega County Road Department after some 22 years of service. He is survived by his brothers, Terrell L. Smith of Columbiana, AL and Lamar Smith of Kahatchie, AL and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Gary Smith, Chris Smith, Preston Smith, Christopher Smith and Bobby Schrader. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.
