NELSON-Chesney Mae of Saskatoon, died accidentally on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at the age of 20 years, beloved daughter of Miles and Evelyn (nee Shewchuk) Nelson of Crooked Lake. Chesney was born in Melville, and attended school in Grayson to Grade IX and then completed her high school at the Melville Comprehensive School graduating in 2002. She was enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan and was about to begin her third year in the field of agriculture. Chesney loved animals and started working at a dairy farm at the age of fifteen, fell in love with it and had been doing it ever since. She loved skiing, hunting, fishing swimming and taught swimming lessons at Crooked Lake for two years. She was not afraid to pursue her dreams and live them. She leaves to mourn her passing: her parents, Miles and Evelyn; a brother, Richard and his friend, Meghan; three sisters, Crystal (friend, Chris), Angela and Deanna; her grandparents, Helen and Pete Shewchuk and Hilding and Ida Nelson and many other relatives. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grenfell Community Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA. Arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
