Cheryl L. (Walker) Smith, 39, a longtime resident of Pierce City, passed away the evening of Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, from an auto-pedestrian accident. She was preceded in death by a nephew, James Vaughn Meeks III, and a grandfather, William Lawrence Walker. She is survived by daughter Ashley Lacey son Justin Lacey parents Wilbur and Sally Walker, Pierce City brothers and sisters, Cindy Farlett and husband Bobby, Hampton, Ga., Larry Walker and wife Robin, Bois D'Arc, Bill Walker, Springfield, Connie Meeks and husband James, Monett grandmother Mayme Walker, Springfield close friend Darwin Wahlers, Stotts City and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation is 7 to 8 p.m. today in Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City. Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23 in Pierce City Cemetery.
