Obituary of Charron-May Campbell


CHARRON MAY CAMPBELL _ Charron May Campbell was born to Fred and May Graham at Quill Lake on June 19, 1944. She took grades one to eight at Twin Creek School, stayed with her Campbell grandparents in Rose Valley while she took grade nine, then returned to Quill Lake to take grades ten to twelve. Charron married Archie Campbell in 1964 and to this union three daughters were born, Janet, Sheila and Myrna. Charron enjoyed every aspect of her life. First in Quill Lake as a homemaker, then later, as the children grew up, working as parts manager at their Massey dealership in Wadena, then caring for the elderly at Luther Sunset Nursing Home in Saskatoon, and in 1994 becoming a full-time farmer. Charron enjoyed all aspects of farming, especially driving the farm equipment. Charron liked outdoor activities like snowmobiling, curling, gardening, farming, raising chickens, feeding and watching the variety of wildlife at their farm. Charron was predeceased by her father Fred Graham. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Archie; daughters, Janet (Allan) Nameth and their children, Christopher, Victoria and Mitchell; Sheila (Vaughn) Leuschen and their children, James, Andrew and Kendall, and Myrna (Dan) Miles; her mother, May Graham; sister, Barb (Leo) LeBlanc; motherand fatherin-law, Don and Ruby Campbell; brother-inlaw, Douglas (Yvonne) Campbell; nieces, Sarah Griffiths and Marnie Campbell; nephew, Curtis (Mandy) Campbell; great-niece Daytona, and numerous friends and neighbors. The memorial service was held Saturday, September 6, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in the Quill Lake Community Hall with Terry Tompkins officiating. Organist was Debbie Ingram; memorial book attendants were Linda Sigstad, Bev Munz and Gloria Wittig, and ushers were Mervin Sigstad amd Cliff Cottrel. Taped Elvis selections played at the service included Have I Told You Lately That I Love You and Peace In The Valley. Special music provided by the Quill Lake Community Choir included The Church in the Wildwood and Keep on the Sunny Side. Arrangements were in the care of Tompkins Funeral Home. Lunch was served in the Quill Lake Community Hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment will be held at Quill Lake Cemetery at a later date.
