Charlotte Jeanette Brown, 70, Arcadia, died May 23, 2006. She was born Aug. 15, 1935, in Dundee, and came to the DeSoto County area 47 years ago from there. She had been a secretary for several companies in DeSoto County, including Nat Wolf Citrus and Cattle, Gulf Life Insurance, R.V.'s Supermarket, Wood's Supermarket and The Beef Shop. She was a member of New Day Baptist Church in Arcadia. Survivors include her husband, David Leon; daughters Kathryn Hill and Teresa V. Wiley, both of Arcadia, and Mary L. Perry of Dahlonega, Ga.; a son, Ronald H. of Arcadia; brothers Leon Tomlinson of Columbus, Ga., and Crowley Tomlinson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Joshua Creek Cemetery in Arcadia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 207 E. Magnolia St., Arcadia, FL 34266.
