JOHNSON, CHARLIE RAY, 67, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away Friday, October 24, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of Local 181. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Violet Miller-Johnson. He is survived by his best friend and son, Charles "Topper" Johnson (Debra) and daughters, Liz McCubbins (Leslie Jr.) and Delora Johnson; one brother, Ralph Johnson; three sisters, Teatta Parsley, Earrie Reid and Vera Parsley; four grandchildren, which includes Anthony who was like a son to him; two stepgrandchildren; three step great- grandchildren; and a caregiver, Darla Decker. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Hardy-Close Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be noon 8 p.m. Saturday, 11a.m. 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.
