Charles Walter ""C.W"" Williams, 79, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Louisville, left his earthly home Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.He was a 1952 graduate of Rineyville High School, a retired vice president of PNC Bank, formerly National City Bank in Louisville. He was very active in many ways at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church and he was a Kentucky Colonel.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia Williams; a daughter, Angela Ann Williams; and his parents, Brawner and Ada Williams.He is survived by a son, Charles Thomas ""Tom"" Williams of Elizabethtown; a sister, Mary Thompson, of Elizabethtown; a brother, James B. (Barbara) Williams of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.A funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rineyville with the Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Burial follows in St. John Cemetery.Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A prayer vigil is at 7 p.m. Thursday. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Charles' memory to the WHAS Crusade for Children, of which he was a strong supporter.
