Charles "Lefty" Williams, age 74, of 31 Lefty Drive, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at NHC of Clinton. He was born in Clinton, and was a son of the late Haskell "Red" and Pauline Shirley Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from Lydia Mills and was a former member of Lydia Baptist Church. He was the last member of his immediate family. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Betty Williams, of Newberry, and three nieces, Polly W. Turner and Angie Williams, both of Newberry, and Carol McCleskey of Aiken. He is predeceased by a sister, Mary W. Parrish, and a brother, Edward Williams. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home. The family will be at their respective homes.Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
