Charles W. Dennis, 85, Nokomis, died April 17, 2004. He was born May 30, 1918, in Danville, Ill., and came to Nokomis in 1976 from Indianapolis. He retired as a machinist for truck engines after 35 years at International Harvester. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Beneva Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Maxine; a son, Jerry of Sarasota; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Indianapolis.
