HYANNIS - Charles W. Duchesney, 88, died Jan. 10. He was the husband of Inez (Robertson) Duchesney for 61 years. Mr. Duchesney was born in Pawtucket, R.I., and raised and educated in Hyannis. A World War II Air Force veteran, he received a Bronze Star. He was a member of Fraternal Lodge AF&AM in Centerville and BPOE Lodge 1549 in Hyannis. Mr. Duchesney worked for Cape & Vineyard Electric for 35 years until his retirement. He loved sports and coached the Cape League baseball and basketball teams. He was also head umpire for the Cape baseball leagues. He was an avid golfer and owned a hole-in-one trophy. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Pamela David Childs of Hyannis; two brothers, William Duchesney of Marstons Mills and Kenneth Duchesney of Vermont; and a sister, Alice Moniz of East Falmouth. Services are private. Memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of Boston, Route 6A, Brewster, MA 02631; or to MSPCA, Route 28, Centerville, MA 02632.
