Charles Ernest "Chuck " Staton CD 1930 2006 On Friday September 15th, Mr. Charles Ernest "Chuck " Staton, of Oliver, BC, passed away at the Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family, including his wife of 52 years, Audrey (nee Stamper) of Oliver; daughter, Debra (David) Bolster of Greenwood, Nova Scotia; brother, Bill (Georgette) Staton of Montreal; sister, Irene Reid of Montreal; twin brother, George (Ann) Staton of Ottawa; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents. Chuck served thirty five years in the R.C.A.F; stationed in PEI, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Europe and Alberta retiring from the CF in 1982. His love of golf and great weather drew Chuck and Audrey to BC for their retirement years. Chuck was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years, both in Cold Lake, AB and Okanagan Falls, BC. He was an avid golfer and member at Fairview Mountain GC in Oliver. Chuck loved RV'ing and the great outdoors. He enjoyed softball, curling, hockey, bowling both as a player and coach. Chuck will be sorely missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the BC Lung Association would be appreciated.
