UntitledCHARLES SHIRLEY WILLIAMS1927 - 2009Shirley was a lifelong resident of Pensacola, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009. He retired from the Naval Air Station; a member of East Brent Baptist Church since 1957, where he worked with preschoolers for over 25 years. He was a member of the North Pineville Sportsmen Hunting Club. Shirley will be remembered as a great husband and father. Those who know him considered him to be a wonderful man.Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Seaborn Williams and Edna Olsen Williams; three brothers, Herbert Williams, Elwood Williams and Gerald Williams; two sisters, Velma Rawls and Elfreda Zolock. Also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and John D. Radford; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Alan Ferguson and brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Radford and sister-in-law, Sadie Radford.Survivors include his wife, Myrtis Marie Williams of 59 ½ years; son, John "Rocky", wife, Sheila; daughter, Shirley Elaine; five grandchildren, Brandi, Jennifer, Andrea, Stuart and Joshua and his five great-grandchildren. Surviving sister, Barbara Schuldt (Fred); sisters-in-law, Alta "Ida Mae" Clark, Florence Cassani (Hank), Luverne Williams; brothers-in-law, John D. Radford, Jr., Ray Radford (Linda) and Roy Radford; many nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Joshua Williams, Stuart Williams, Ray Etheridge, Billy Johnson, Scott Richardson, Ernie Watson and John Radford Clark.Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Coleman, Ronnie Cloud, Henry Johnson, Nathaniel McIntire, Jerrry Henderson and Jerry Henderson, Jr.Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating.
