Charles Robert Sutton, 66, died March 8, 2012, at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. He was born in Chicago and lived in Port St. Lucie from 1980, coming from Fort Lauderdale. He was an Air Force veteran and retired police officer. He was a member of the International Police Association, Police Benevolent Association and an alumnus of the Phantom Regiment Drum Bugle Corps. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Carol Sutton; father, Charles B. Sutton of Ormond Beach, daughter, Cichele M. Fields of Apopka; sons, Dean Sutton of Utah and Tron Sutton of Nevada; and brother, Robert Sutton of Highlands, N.C. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E.
