Mr. Charles David Ramsey, age 65, Florence, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009, after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Samuel J. Ramsey and was also preceded in death by his brother, Samuel L. Ramsey, and sister, Martha Hunt.Mr. Ramsey was a Vietnam and Gulf War Veteran, proudly serving more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.He is survived by his mothe,r Florence Ramsey, Florence; nieces, Regina Lawson, Florence and Vicki Seal (Troy), Tuscumbia.The visitation will be Tuesday, May 5, from noon-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, with Brother Sonny Owens officiating. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the burial at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Spry-Williams funeral Home, of Florence, directing.
