"Bud" Johnson, Sr., age 79 of Springfield, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Golden Living Center. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 3 p.m., in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home, with Bro. Marvin Crouch officiating. Interment followed in Springfield Memorial Gardens, with Nathan Hancock, Danny Johnson, Jr., Lynn Porter, Troy Cox, Timmy Hancock, and Kevin Eidson serving as Pallbearers.Mr. Johnson was born March 15, 1935 in Robertson County to the late Bill D, and Susie F. Hart Johnson. He was a heavy equipment operator having last worked for the Robertson County Landfill and was a member of the Army Reserve. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Billie F. Burns, Nancy Helen Sharp, and Martha Sue Hall.He is survived by his son, Chip Johnson and wife Kim of Springfield; brother, Danny Johnson and wife Joan of Springfield; niece, Jennifer R. Hancock and husband Tim; nephew, Danny E. Johnson, Jr. and wife Jennifer; great nieces, Sara M. Hancock, Vada L. Johnson, Linda Sharp, Michelle Brawner, Lynn Hall, Pat Hall, and Nancy Burns; and great nephews, Nathan Z. Hancock, Joshua D. Hancock, Kevin Sharp, Kent Sharp, and Steven Burns.Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
