Charles P. Parker Cochran, GA- Funeral services for Charles P. Parker, 82, of Cochran, who died Friday at the Coliseum Park Hospital, Macon, will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Cochran. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Parker was born in Camilla, GA, son of the late Paul and Maude Shiver Parker and has lived in Cochran since 1971. He was a graduate of Camilla High School, attended ABAC in Tifton and a graduate of University of Georgia in 1961. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from Southern Pine Inspection Bureau where he was a Senior Quality Control Supervisor for 33 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cochran, the Cochran Masonic Lodge #217, Georgia Forestry Association, Florida Forestry Association and Forest Landowners Association. He loved family, friends and outdoors, being among his pine trees and fishing in his new pond. Survivors include: his wife of fifty-six years, Nancy S. Parker, of Cochran; daughter, Margaret (Tim) Cawood of Ringgold; sons, Julian Monroe Parker of Cochran, Charles Preston Parker, Jr. of Leesburg, Paul Ernest (Heather) Parker of Cartersville, and Edward Allen (Carolyn) Parker of Ringgold; grandchildren, Amanda Cawood, Parker Aziz, Hunter Thomas Cawood, William Parker, Joshua Parker, Charlie Parker, Nicholos Parker, Noah Parker, Marianne Parker, Brandon Cawood and Malisa Cawood; brother, Paul Parker of Camilla; sister, Hollye Parker Connelley of Ft. Worth, TX; his beloved dogs; Sonny Perdue and Tommy Lee. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dale and Dudley Parker; sisters, Sarah Parker Rivers and Helen Parker Keadle.
