Charles-O. Jordan, born in 1926, spouse of Barbara Jordan, son of Prince-Alvy and Annie-Lee, father of Jeannie, Alda and Charles E, died on July 13, 2007 at 81 years old.
Charles Oneal Jordon, 81, Leighton, died July 13, 2007. Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2007, from 1:30-3 p.m., at Old Brick Presbyterian Church, Muscle Shoals. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the church with burial in Old Brick Cemetery. Officiating will be Chad Holder. Pallbearers will be members of Old Brick Presbyterian Church.Mr. Jordan was a member, song leader and elder of Old Brick Presbyterian Church. He was an ironworker of Local 477, an employee of TVA for 40 years, a Mason and Cahaba Shriner and past Master of Leighton Masonic Lodge.Survivors include his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" E. Jordan; son, Charles E. Jordan and wife, Alda, of Birmingham; daughter, Jeannie Jordan, of Leighton; brother, Norman E. Jordan and wife, Reba, of Muscle Shoals; sister, Katie Myhan and husband, Bobby, of Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Andrea Virnau and Tanya Crews, of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Virnau.Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, Prince Alvy Jordan and Annie Lee Keenum and his best friend and brother, William Hoover Jordan.A special thanks to Dr. Randy Pounders and Wiregrass Hospice, Stephanie, Donna, Robert, Steve, Phillip and both Tracys, and all the other Wiregrass personnel who cared for Charles, and a special thanks you to Rosa Mae Williams.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Brick Presbyterian Church, Alzheimer's Association of North Alabama, 3322 S.
