DAVIS Charles Louis Davis, age 81, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 23, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital. Born on September 17, 1923, to the late Henry Davis and Emma Holmes. He was the husband to the late Betty L. Cuthrell Davis. He was a machinist for Jenkins Valves. He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Rosalind Davis, Sharon Edge and Betty (Bessie) Gee Davis, all of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Walter Scott; two special nieces, Bertha Wright and Edith Curtlin; and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by two sons, Frank and Charles Davis; and one brother, Henry Davis. Calling hours will be Friday, October 29, 2004, from 10 a.m. to noon at Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport. Service to follow at noon in thefuneral home. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
