Charles I. Williams, 83, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at his home in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Milburn) Williams. Born July 4, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Williams and Mary (Patton) Williams.Charles was a retired Brick Mason. He is survived by his children, Paula Abraha, Erocia Banks, Cheryl Scott, Victor Williams, John Williams, Ayesha Brewer and the late Jospeh Williams; his grandchildren, Victor Williams, III, Charles Williams, John Williams, Jr., David Banks, Jr., Darius Banks and Monique Abraha; his siblings, Robert, Theodore, Daniel, Samuel, Eleanor, Julia Mae and Sarah. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Lora Whitaker; his cousin, Eleanor Grenidge and a host of beloved family and friends. A funeral service will be held in the Gethsemane Seventh Day Adventist Church, 34 Nilsson St., Brockton on Friday at 11:00AM. Calling hours will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. | 11:00 a.m. in the church.
