Charles G. Charlie Moore, age 67, of Plymouth, formerly of Marshfield, died peacefully September 20, 2014. Born in Brockton, November 21, 1946, Charlie was the beloved son of Kenneth E. and Helen M. (Dutra) Moore. He was educated at Brockton High School and went on to further his education at Quincy College and Suffolk University. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the Special Forces as a Green Beret. He was honorably discharged November 29, 1966, as a SP-4 in the U.S. Army after being wounded while serving. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Forces Expeditionary Medal, Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, and was an expert marksman. Charlie was the owner and principal investigator of C.G.M. Private Detective Group for 40 years. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, boater, and lived life to the fullest with an unforgettable smile. He is survived by his wife, Paula Moore of Marshfield; daughter, Shannon Madden and her husband Andrew of Worthington; sons, Shane Moore of Plymouth and Charles Chuck Moore and his wife Jayme of Marshfield; his partner, Pamela Kiessling of Plymouth; sister, Pamela Dolan of Duxbury; and brother, Kenneth Moore of Palm Springs, Calif. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Anna and Aedan Madden, Charlie and James Moore; as well as his beloved nieces and nephews, and dear friends. An outdoor memorial service will be held Friday, September 26, at 125 Boot Pond Road, Plymouth, starting promptly at 12 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life.
