Charles Edward Briere February 13, 1927 - November 2, 2007 BROOKLYN - Charles Edward Briere, age 80, of 123 Anderson Road, Brooklyn, CT, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2007 at Oakwood Rehab Center in Webster, MA. He leaves his wife Ruth; sisters: Bertha Casey of Danielson and Avis Turcotte of Port Charlotte, FL; children: Kerry of Brooklyn, Kathy and Mark Glaude of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Thompson of Brooklyn, Betty and Chris Berris of Brooklyn, Charlie Jr. of Brooklyn, Teryle and Fran Briere of Miami, FL; grandchildren: Heidi, Gina, Ryan, Chelsea, Anthony and Christian. Charles was born in Danielson, CT on February 13, 1927 as the son of Ethel and Theophile Briere. He was a toolmaker. He worked at Danielson Manufacturing Company and Kaman Aerospace Co. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and was a member of their fan club as well as BPOE Elks. Funeral Services will be private. Donations in his memory may be made to Women's Community Group for Christian Service (WCGCS) Federated Church, P.O. Box 204, Brooklyn, CT 06234 or to American Heart Association CT Affiliate Inc., 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183. Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson, is in charge of arrangements.
