Services will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Committal services with military honors by the U.S. Army will begin at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Survivors include his daughters Sarah Oliver of Pompano Beach and Deanna S. of Port Charlotte; his son, Charles E. Jr. of Naples; a sister, Evelyn Carpenter of Tampa; and five grandchildren.
