Charles Edward Davis, 81, Phil Campbell, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Helen Keller Hospital after an extended illness. He was a deacon of Gray Rock First Congregational Methodist Church, Phil Campbell.Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Gray Rock Church. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Gray Rock Church, with Curtis Taylor and William Borden directing the services. Burial will be at KP Cemetery, Russellville.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue Nell Davis, Phil Campbell; daughters, Kathy Snider, husband, Johnie, Phil Campbell, Sarah Hodge, husband, Larry, Tuscumbia, Charlotte Lawson, husband, Billy, Russellville; son, Randy Davis, wife, Gayle, Russellville; sisters, Edith Landers, Russellville, Ann Whitehead, Muscle Shoals, and Marie Balentine, Indiana; brother, Bobby Davis, Illinois; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Honorary daughter, Shirley King, husband, O'Neal, Russellville.He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Oma Davis; daughters, Wyvonne and Loretta; son, Brian.Pallbearers will be Todd Carter, Chris Farris, Hulon Heath, Chet Oliver, Shane Oliver and Greg Smith.
