DAVIS, Charles Douglas (Doug) On August 8, 2006 Mr. Charles Douglas (Doug) Davis of Edmonton formerly of Victoria, B.C. passed away at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 60 years of marriage, Lois; two sons and two daughters, Sydney Goss (formerly Pollock) of Edmonton, Jack (Linda) Davis of Chemainus, B.C., Wendy (Dennis) Danilak and Robert (Donna) Davis both of Edmonton; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Rick (Leanne) Pollock, Christopher and Joshua; Jay (Sandrine) Pollock, Stephanie and Max; Elizabeth Pollock, Brian; Jacqueline and Michael Davis; Shawna and Evan Shechosky; Warren (Jade) Davis, Niah and Jaelyn; and Benjamin Danilak. Among the beloved people who will miss Doug are his nieces and nephews from across Canada; two surviving sisters-in-law Muriel of Calgary and Ann of Courtenay B.C. and many neighbours and friends, Doug grew up in Prince George, B.C.; nourished by both a rich cultural and sports community and a strong loving family. Doug is predeceased by his entire family, both parents and seven siblings. The family is thankful for the gentle care of staff and the volunteer harpist at the University of Alberta Hospital. At Doug's request cremation and private interment in the family plot will be held instead of a formal service. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
