Charles Currier Johnson 'Skipper' SCARBOROUGH -- Charles C. Johnson, 66, of Scarborough, passed away on May 9, 2009, in Portland. He was born in Bath, on June 12, 1942, the son of Charles Johnson and Marjorie Leavitt Johnson. He was a graduate of Bath High School. Skipper worked at Philips Elmet of Lewiston, General Electric of South Portland, and Bath Iron Works of Bath. Mr. Johnson enjoyed auto racing, especially Super Modified and also enjoyed fly fishing. He is survived by his wife Jane Chapman Johnson of Scarborough; nieces Linsey Chapman of Windham, Valerie Chapman of Windham; brother-in-law Richard Chapman of Windham; and cousins Richard O'Day of Lebanon, N.H., and Richard Vincent of Enfield, N.H.
