Charlene Young COLUMBIA - The Homegoing Service for Charlene Young will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home (2930 Colonial Drive, Columbia). The visitation for Ms. Young will be held on tomorrow morning from 10-10:55 a.m., before the service. Charlene was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Charlie and Elizabeth Young. She passed away on December 16, 2014 at the age of 45. At an early age Charlene moved to Newark, New Jersey where she was educated in the public school system and furthered her education after high school by attending college. Charlene was employed by Verizon Wireless for 15 years as a Global Support Tech. She is survived by her daughter, Raquel Jordan; three brothers: William and Kelvin Oglesby and Donell (Vanessa) Griffin; four aunts: Sadie Mae Young, Karen Goodwin, Diana (William) Means and Karol D. McCollum; two uncles, Pete Young and James (Chanda) McCollum, Jr.; a special cousin, Ola Mae "Pootchie" Smith; and a host of other loving family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
