Charlene Baker CRAWFORDVILLE - Charlene Baker, 59, an insurance manager for Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Baker. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. EDT Thursday at Harvey-Young Funeral Home (850-926-3333) in Crawfordville, with burial at Panacea Cemetery in Panacea.Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. EDT today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. She was born in Tifton, Ga., and was a resident of Crawfordville for 27 years. She was a Baptist. Other survivors include two daughters, Shonja Metcalf (and husband Clay) and Michele Avera (and husband Shannon), both of Crawfordville; her mother, Pauline Wallace of Swansboro, N.C.; a sister, Patricia Ward of Newport News, Va.; two brothers, Robert Wallace of Swansboro and Lynn Kendall of LaGrange, Ga.; and two granddaughters, Margaret Elizabeth Metcalf and Abigail Avera.
