WATSON, Cedric Harry July 19, 1923 March 17, 2005. Our wonderful husband, father and grandfather fought hard to stay with us but died peacefully at Royal Jubilee Hospital. He leaves his lifelong wife and loving partner Peggy, son Barry, daughter Diane and granddaughter Zoe. Also mourning are niece Valerie, nephew Mick, their families in Victoria, and relatives in England. Cedric enjoyed a full and diversified life, and his many accomplishments include important contributions to professional engineering and industrial design, British and Canadian rugby, the Canadian Commonwealth Games, the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club, capped by a graceful retirement. These last weeks were made as pleasant as possible by the exceptional kindness and caring of the nurses and staff on 2West, RJH. The family also wishes to thank Doctors G.B.N. Mclean and David Ian Mcdonald for their fine care of Cedric since his stroke in 2001. Cremation will be a private ceremony. A gathering of family and friends will be held on April 9, 4:00 6:00 to remember Cedric, at the Recreation Centre, Wedgewood Estates, 2829 Arbutus Road in Victoria. Donations may be made to the Aphasia Centre, L.E.A.P. Program, V.I.H.A., 1900 Fort St., Victoria V8R 1J8. 'To know him was to love him.' 54916
