Obituary of Cecile Martineau


Lowell - Cecile (Boudreau) (Lausier) Martineau, 93, a longtime Lowell resident who was active in church and community organizations, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, at a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Philip Lausier and the late Rosario "Mike" Martineau. She was born in Lowell on July 19,1911, daughter of the late Oliver and Helen (Young) Boudreau. She received her education in Lowell schools. Mrs. Martineau was a longtime communicant of St. Louis de France Church in Lowell She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Lowell, the Centralville Senior Citizens' Club, the Fraternite des Bon Vivant of St. Jeanne d'Arc Parish, the Poor Clare Guild, the Archambault Towers Club, and the Chanteclerc Snowshoers Club of Dracut. Mrs. Martineau's survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry R. Lausier and his wife Alice of Billerica, and Raymond L. Lausier and his wife Gabrielle of Tyngsboro; a daughter, Doris Drew and her companion Carol Touma of Nashua; two sisters, Blanche Mercier and Doris Piexhote, both of Lowell; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert, Henry and Raymond Boudreau.
