AIKEN, S.C.-Graveside services for Mr. Cecil V. Carter, 87, of Aiken, SC, who died November 12, 2004, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Southlawn Cemetery with Military Honors. Rev. Edward Newsome officiating. Mr. Carter was a native of Blackshear, Georgia, a former California and Florida resident having made Aiken his home for the past six years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Air Force. Mr. Carter was a retired Aeorospace Engineer with the Northrop Corporation. Survivors include a son, Charles Byron Carter, Virginia; a sister, Jonny Carter Holmes, Jackson; and a nephew, Craig Holmes, Jackson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday afternoon from 4 to 5. The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Jonny Holmes, 520 Highland Circle, Jackson, SC. Stephen D.
