WILLIAMS, CECIL Fort Meade - Cecil L. Williams, 87, died of lung failure Sept. 30, 2006 at Cornerstone Hospice in Winter Haven. He was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Fort Meade, and was a flotation foreman for Swift & Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. He was an Army veteran serving 3 years in the South Pacific. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Sweat Williams. He is survived by his brothers, Edward Williams, Bartow, W.R. Williams, Oconee, Ill.; son, Thomas Wayne Williams; sister, Lula Mae Powell, Lakeland. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wed. at McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Services will be at 2 p.m. the funeral home with the Rev. Kenny Slay as the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
