Catherine Young, 83, of Port Jervis, died Feb. 9, 2013, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.She was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Brooklyn to parents Marco and Laboria Insigna Gulotta, according to Gray-Parker Funeral Home, which handled his funeral arrangements and published his obituary.She married John C. Young Sr., who died June 17, 1996.Survivors include three sons, George Lohr and his wife, Marge, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Mark Lohr and his wife, Laura, of Westbrookville and John C. Young Jr. and his wife, Ana, of Allen, Texas ; a son-in-law, Ricky Battle of Florida; a daughter, Barbara Strong of Sparrowbush; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Gulotta of Jacksonville , N.J.; three sisters, Marie Plank of Gettysburg, Pa., and Sue and Gracie Gulotta of New Jersey ; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, John; a daughter, Kathi Battle; and three brothers, Sal, Marco and Ignazio "Eddie" Gulotta.Her funeral took place Feb. 12 at Westbrookville United Methodist Church, 23 Pine Kill Rd., in Westbrookville.
