WILLIAMS, Catherine (Mae) March 10, 1912 - August 21, 2003 On August 21, 2003 Mae Williams of Edmonton passed away at the age of 91. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family who love her dearly and will miss her very much. Predeceased by her first husband Bill Klauer in 1943 and by her second husband Tom in 1992, she is survived by her children; sons, Bruce, Donald (Andrew Hopkyns) and daughter Patricia (Schroeder) and husband Ralph and his children Ken, Michelle and granddaughter MiKaela. Also predeceased by her brothers Howard and Francis, survived by her sisters, Jane (Tom), Flora, Sally, Lorene and many nieces and nephews. Mae was an original Alberta pioneer born on a farm in Lougheed Alberta, educated at the Edmonton Normal and pursued a teaching career until she married and raised her children. Mae led a very active life enjoying extensive world travel. She loved playing bridge, was an avid curler and was active in the Edmonton Trekkers Club hiking to her favorite places in the Canadian Rockies. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Walter Mackenzie Medical Centre at the University of Alberta for their professional and loving care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church at 10661 - 82 Avenue on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the C.N.I.B., 12010 - Jasper Avenue, T5K 0P3.
