NATICK Catherine M. (Rankin) MacLellan, 71, of Natick, mother of nine, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, surrounded by her family at Beaumont Nursing Center in Natick following a long illness. She was the wife of Hugh A. MacLellan, who died in 2006. Born in Canada, Mrs. MacLellan was a daughter of the late John and Pearl (Letcher) Rankin. A resident of Natick for the past eight years, she had previously made her home in Brighton. Throughout her life, Mrs. MacLellan was devoted to her family as a dear wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. She was the mother of John MacLellan of Ontario, Sharon Daley of Needham, Elizabeth Geier of Ellicott City, Md., Allan MacLellan of Sudbury, Robert MacLellan, James MacLellan, Mary Lou Gagner, Catherine O'Connell and June Catching, all of Natick. She was the sister of Thomas Rankin of Ontario, Mary England of Londonderry, N.H., and the late John Rankin and June Rankin; and the grandmother of 21. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass in St. Linus Church, Natick, Wednesday, March 5, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Natick.
