->Adams, Catherine LeePeabody, MA: Catherine Lee Adams, 66, a longtime resident of Melrose, MA who recently had moved to Peabody, MA, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at her home. She was born in April of 1945 in Rochester, New York the daughter of Donald T. and Jean (Schlotzer) Adams. Catherine was raised in Rochester, graduating from West High School with class of 1963. She then attended Monroe Community College before transferring to University of Buffalo, where she received her Bachelor of Science. She moved to the Boston area and joined the health care field. She worked for many years at Brigham and Women's Hospital and also Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in management positions. More recently she had been working at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital in the phlebotomy department. When she was not working, Catherine had a great love of cooking. She is survived by her sisters, Deborah A. Adams and Barbara J. Adams of Rochester, NY, her aunt Jeanette Coughlin of Newark, NY, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, her friends and co-workers at the Melrose-Wakefield hospital, and her loving cats, Chow Mein and Sassie. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jean Adams, and her brothers, Jeffrey T. Adams, and Gregory W. Adams. Funeral services will be private.
