TUSCALOOSA Catherine Jarvis Davis, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, died May 31, 2012. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Feltman and Rev. Charles Standford officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Davis; father, Edgar Jarvis; mother, Lena Jarvis; sisters, Ethel Matherson, Louise Phillips, and Sarah Powell; brothers, Boj Jarvis, Calvin Jarvis, Edward Jarvis, and Thomas Jarvis; and granddaughter, Stacy Lynn.Survivors include her daughters, Sheba Davis of Northport and Sheila Davis of Coker; son, Chris Davis (Betty) of Tuscaloosa; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. God called her home to be with him on 5-31-12. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We know she is watching over us in Heaven and is in no more pain. She attended the Church of God in Coker. She loved to work in her garden and would can food and give to people. She would help anyone.
