MARENTETTE/SMITH, Catherine "Kay" (nee Henderson) Died on December 19th, 1999, in Mississauga. Born in Woodstock on August 26th, 1914. Daughter of the late Samuel (1923) and Margaret (1957) Henderson. Beloved wife of the late Al Smith (1962) and Irvin Marentette (1977). Loving mother of Karen and her husband Robert Ouellette (Amherstburg), Danny Smith and his spouse Sandy Towells (Mississauga), Helen and her husband Gordon Henderson (Windsor), and the late Ralph Smith (1987). Dear grandmother of Marie, Robert, Paul, Kenny, Billy, Tom, Kevin, Eric & David. Dear great-grandmother of Jimmy, Megan, Makyla, Joseph, Angelica, Jonathan and Jasmind. Sister of Agnes Morand, Patricia and her husband Leslie Nantais and the late Gervais (1900), Nora (1927), Jack (1940), Helen (1943). Sr. Marguerite (1946), Ed (1963), Dooley (1971), and Marie (1987). Catherine survived all of her life's trials and tribulations. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her darling son Ralph. Visiting Tuesday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday 7:30 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, December 22nd, 1999 at 9:30 a.m. from JANISSE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1139 Ouellette Ave. (253-5225) to St. Clare Church at 10:00 a.m. A tree will be planted in memory of Catherine Marentette in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000. All are welcome.(The Windsor Star)
