(nee Henderson) Peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the age of 88. Dearly beloved wife of the late W. Gordon Foster (former General Manager of the Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa). Cherished mother of Craig of Oshawa and Tupper of Toronto. Much loved "Gram" of granddaughters Ashley and Jessica of Toronto and grandson Sean of Fernie, British Columbia. Survived by brother Ozzie Gilgour Henderson of Truro, Nova Scotia, sister-in-law Marjorie Ford of Halifax, niece Elizabeth Henderson of Halifax, and cousin Nellie (Mrs. Courtney Henry Foster) of Toronto and family. Sister of the late Ronald and Dr. Hugh Henderson of Halifax. Remembered by close friends who were always in her thoughts. Catherine was a long-time member of the Altar Guild of Christ Church Cathedral in Ottawa, Past President of the Ottawa Garden Club, Commissioner of Girl Guides in Newfoundland, member of the Auxiliary Junior League and Past President of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind in Winnipeg. Funeral service to be held in St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, McKay Street, Ottawa, at 11 o'clock in the morning, Friday April 12, 2002. Private cremation. Donations to the homeless or the charity of your choice in memory of Catherine would be gratefully received. At her request, flowers are respectfully declined.
