Catherine Ann Johnson (nee Mackay) April 18, 1956 - June 09, 2014 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cathy on June 9th 2014 at the young age of 58 after her long courageous journey dealing with cancer. Her laughter and her smile will be missed so very much by her family, friends and her co-workers. Cathy was predeceased by her parents Elmer (2009) and Eileen (2011) Mackay. Cathy has always been the rock in our family. She kept us laughing through the hard times, kept the drinks flowing during the good times and she was never too shy to point out when you were acting like a fool. We all loved her for that. Cathy fought hard for each day, each moment for the last 6 months of her life, so she could spend it laughing with the ones she loved. She never complained, she always had time to enjoy a cup of tea with you and always walked you to the front door when you left. I know how thankful she was to have her husband, Craig, and her sister, Ellen, by her side every day in the hospital and at the hospice. You feel at home when you have love by your side. Cathy will be deeply missed by her loving husband Craig, her son Joel, her daughter Corri (Kevin), her beautiful granddaughter Kayla and companion Dakota. Cathy leaves behind her 2 sisters, Ellen Leisz (Fred), Sandy Larson (Gerald) and her brother, Bob Mackay (Christina) and her nieces and nephews Brad (Michelle), Jenni, Brent, Erin and Sean. Cathy will live on forever in our hearts and in our memories.
