CATHERINE A. LEE VALPARAISO, IN Catherine "Katie" A. Lee of Valparaiso, IN, passed away February 23, 2008 at the age of 83 at Porter Hospital in Valparaiso. She was born in Gary, IN on July 19, 1924 to the late Joseph J. and Katherine (Gerlach) Ellman. Catherine was a resident of Valparaiso since 1969, formerly of Gary. She was a retired library employee of Valparaiso University and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Altar-Rosary, Oasis Club and the Nursing Home Ministry of St. Paul Catholic Church. Catherine is survived by one daughter, Theresa (Ben) Kessler of Valparaiso; and grandsons: Eric and Alec. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Lee; and brother, Francis Ellman. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from the Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N. Campbell Street, Valparaiso to St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso for an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at the Queen of Apostles Chapel with Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Interment at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. (wake service 4:00 p.m.) at the Dykes Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
