After a feisty battle with bone-marrow lymphoma, Carrol died peacefully at her home in St. Patrick's Square on Good Friday morning, April 18th, 2003, in her 90th year. Carrol was predeceased by her parents John Bennett and Catherine Hogan, by her brothers Edmund and Raymond and by her sister Olga Neville. She is survived by her cousin Eileen McCaffrey and by her sisters-in-law Grace Bennett and Cecile Bennett, and their children and grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care Carrol received from her friends at St. Patrick's Square, especially Kitty and Jim Bullock and Mabel Fitzgerald. Many thanks also to her caregivers from Groupe Sante Brunet, the CLSC Rene Cassin and the Oncology and Palliative care units of St. Mary's Hospital. Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., (corner Isabella) on Tuesday, April 22 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Richard's Church, 7070 Guelph, Cote St. Luc, on Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. Interment Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
